Two Men and a Drill
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
Affiliated Laboratory, Inc. (ALI) was moving into lovely new space in Webber West. On a cold stormy Saturday, when most employees should have been home with their families, two EMMC Information Systems employees, Bill Crouch, and Kevin Leland, were hard at work. Though they were employed at the medical center, they helped the employees of EMMC’s sibling company, ALI, relocate equipment and communications systems. In addition, Bill and Kevin helped with many issues that popped up, things that were outside their area of responsibility.
While others were tense and anxious, Bill and Kevan quickly solved unexpected problems. From drilling needed holes to removing doors to accommodate large chemistry analyzers, Kevan and Bill tackled everything that came their way. “Nice drill work,” joked one ALI employee, Kristy Rancourt, knowing that they were performing way beyond the call of duty.
Thanks to Kevin and Bill’s commitment to their coworkers, the laboratory had a seamless transition to their new space on the EMMC campus, and patient service was never interrupted.
