Inland Hospital is a community-owned, not-for-profit, 48 bed hospital located in Waterville. We are affiliated with Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems , so while we can take care of your health care needs right here, when necessary we provide a direct link to Eastern Maine Medical Center, one of two major medical centers in the state of Maine.
In 1943, our hospital was created by a group of osteopathic physicians and the osteopathic principles of treating the whole patient rather than just the disease are still very much a part of the Inland philosophy.
Our active staff of 46 and courtesy/consulting staff of 125 plus physicians is made up of both DOs and MDs.
It is our belief that although we are a hospital small enough to give personal care and attention to each patient, we must also be large enough to offer specialized medicine. We are fortunate to have skilled specialists who provide a wide range of services so that patients who need special care can get it close to home.
