Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital & Nursing Home (C. A. Dean) is a 14-bed, acute care hospital with a 24-bed skilled and intermediate care nursing home nestled near the shores of Moosehead Lake in Greenville, Maine.
Opened in 1911 to administer the healthcare needs of the local community, tourists, and lumbermen, C. A. Dean's hospital remains an important resource for the year-round and seasonal residents as well as the tourists that it serves. The nursing home, originally opened in 1968 and then relocated to its present building on the C. A. Dean campus in 1984, accommodates both long term residents as well as patients who need rehabilitation.
